Isabella

“GO has helped me develop lasting friendships, navigate social situations with more ease, and build the confidence to take on new challenges.”

Isabella joined GO in first grade when she was at risk of being held back. With individualized academic support and a nurturing environment, she built confidence in herself and her abilities. “When I first came in, I was going to get left back and GO really opened my eyes to how important my education was and provided me with extra support that I was not getting in regular school.”

Today, Isabella attends the High School of Art and Design, where she majors in graphic design. As a GO Getter intern, she’s come full circle, working with first graders in the same classrooms where she once learned. “I didn’t think I’d be interested in teaching,” she says, “but now I love it. I get to see the world through their eyes.”

Our partnerships help us strengthen schools, families, and communities.

At the GO Project, we are always open to exploring collaborations with schools, higher education institutions, and other nonprofits that strengthen NYC’s public schools, families, and communities.
