New Staff Highlight

Julissa Roxana Lopez-Calderon is the newest member of the GO Project team as the Senior Manager for Student Enrollment and School Partnerships.

As Senior Manager for Student Enrollment and School Partnerships, Julissa oversees student enrollment and cultivates strong relationships with GO Project’s school partners. This work supports the GO mission by expanding educational opportunities and closing the educational gap for New York City public school students.

Julissa was born in Brooklyn and raised between Santo Domingo and Harlem. Her own journey of migration and belonging inspired her to dedicate nearly 20 years to walking alongside Latino youth and families in NYC. She got her start at ASPIRA of New York, supporting student leadership and enrichment, and has since led programs in after-school, mentorship, and family engagement. Julissa holds a master’s in Publishing from The George Washington University and loves motivating others to write their stories and claim their voice.

We are thrilled to have Julissa’s experience on our team and know she will be an incredible resource for our students, families, and public school partners.

Our partnerships help us strengthen schools, families, and communities.

At the GO Project, we are always open to exploring collaborations with schools, higher education institutions, and other nonprofits that strengthen NYC’s public schools, families, and communities.
