GO Project is thrilled to announce Christine Anderson as the new Co-Chair of our Board of Directors! We are so grateful for the dedication and many years of service of Melanie Whelan, who previously served as Board Co-Chair and will remain on the Board and co-lead GO’s next strategic plan. Thank you, Melanie, for your commitment to GO’s mission and for helping us serve hundreds of students each year.

Working alongside Board Co-Chair Marlaine Olinick, Christine will guide our Board and Staff as we continue to serve NYC public school students in need of academic intervention.

A passionate advocate for education, Christine serves as Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Blackstone, overseeing Public Affairs, Marketing, and Sustainability functions. She serves as the primary spokesperson for the firm, advising Blackstone’s senior leaders and business groups, as well as companies across Blackstone’s portfolio on communications strategy. She oversees the firm’s global marketing function, including its extensive private wealth marketing platform to engage individual investors. She also leads Blackstone’s sustainability efforts.

“I am excited for this next chapter of leadership and deeply grateful to outgoing Co-Chair Melanie Whelan for her partnership, guidance, and unwavering dedication to our work,” shared Gayle Villani, Executive Director of GO Project.

GO is excited to work with our Board Co-Chairs Christine Anderson and Marlaine Olinick as we continue to provide critical academic, social-emotional, and family support for our students.

Our partnerships help us strengthen schools, families, and communities.

At the GO Project, we are always open to exploring collaborations with schools, higher education institutions, and other nonprofits that strengthen NYC’s public schools, families, and communities.
